Most of us are pretty happy and things are going well. But there are times when things don't go so well and it is easy to forget the great value that we each hold in the eyes of the Lord. There is no doubt that we are to face trials in this life and that things will not always be easy but sometimes you just need a pick- me-up to help keep you from, as Anne of Green Gables would say, "Wallowing in the depths of despair."
It is easy to feel as if you are not important and that there isn't a purpose for you. I love this poem that my father-in-law shared with us, and many others have quoted it as well. It reminds us of our worth and value and that we are truly loved from on high.
Forget Me Not
When to the flowers
so beautiful the Father gave a name,
Back came a little blue-eyed one
All timidly it came;
And standing at its Father's feet
and gazing in His face,
It said, in low and trembling tone
and with a modest grace,
"Dear God, the name Though gavest me,
Alas I have forgot!"
Kindly the Father looked him down
and said: "Forget -me-not."

Every person is important and you are loved and wanted not matter your mistakes or your lot in life. It is so comforting to know that God in heaven knows and loves each one of us - as different and awkward as we each are. We are beautiful and special in His eyes.
Keep the faith!
